I normally write romance novels. However, I'm currently writing what you might call a tragic love story. The main characters are deeply in love, but one of them dies. I may or may not be self-publishing it, depending on how my current publisher feels about it. So I've got a few questions.
(1) Am I free to market it the same way I market my romance fiction? Go on the same blogs, talk to the same readers, ect?
(2) How do I let readers know not to expect a happy ending?
