Three reporters, who happen to be women, were denied entry to the Jacksonville Jaguars' locker room postgame (vs. Colts) by an usher. He didn't think women were allowed to enter the locker room.
Both teams and media relations have apologized to the reporters, who were eventually allowed in after the usher checked with several men to be sure they weren't, I dunno, lying, and the guy who denied entry wasn't a member of media relations or anything, but c'mon. The guy works for the arena, not in a dusty corner of someplace women have never been spotted.
Hilariously, the women don't normally cover the team, and were there as part of a media diversity weekend. Ooopsy.
Graham Watson of Yahoo! Sports and Joey Chandler of the Tuscaloosa News both tweeted that they went down to the locker room to get quotes and encountered an attendant who decided to keep her from entering because "you know how guys are."
