After upgrade my thoughts about windows 10

1. The interface seems cheap compared to win 7, even fragile. I miss already the solidness and full body look of 7. The directional arrows, as an example, look and feel like chicken scratches on a road.

2. Looked for an hour for the recycle bin. Why hide it?

3. "Settings" is not nearly as good or useful as "control panel" on 7. Yes I have control panel up in 10, but they tell me Microsoft are getting rid of it.

4. Older apps like Microsoft Digital Image Pro, work on 10, but the interface is XP like and not as solid in appearance as in 7.

5. For me, the "start screen" in 10 is not an improvement over win 7's "start menu.

6. "Cortana" really takes some getting used to. I thought win 7 search good for my purposes.

7. Win 10 does not load up appreciatively faster than 7 from start. I'm not in any hurry these days so it's ok.

8. The new Edge browser I find, is only slightly better than IE11. The back button malfunctions in Edge just like IE. I've come to believe the problem is due to the advertisers and Microsoft never will get it fixed. Often I have to close out Edge and start again.

Note - I'm sure I'll get used to Win10 in time (what else is there?), but in terms of all round solid-ness it's a let down, something better suited to a phone or tablet interface than a desktop computer.

I love my desktop!
