I'm having trouble kick starting my writing journey. I've written several opening chapters for various ideas and mulled over many more over the years, but I never progress beyond that.
I keep second guessing my story, reworking it in my head for years before I write a single line, my current idea has morphed beyond recognition from when I first thought of it, and now watching the Martian has made me feel like the novel was unoriginal, I've been forced to reconsider it again. Another problem I have is I keep thinking I need more research before I start, or that I'm not a good enough writer to write the ideas and characters that I have.
How do I get out of this and actually write a story for once?
