Underground Book Reviews is an online magazine that focuses on self-published and independent authors. We are looking for talented indie writers to join our team in 2016. We are a small startup organization, run by volunteers, and at this time we can only offer a token payment, but we are more than happy to promote you and your book if you agree to write for us.
Specifically, we are looking for reviewers to commit to read 4+ indie books over the course of the year. We get roughly 10 submissions per week, and you will be asked to choose from these books. If you find a book you would like to review elsewhere, you are welcome to invite the author to submit it. We only review self-published and independently published novels (fiction), and we have a strict honor policy against reviewing books by friends, family or writing colleagues. Otherwise, you are not limited in what you can read.
At this time we are paying new reviewers $10 per review (roughly 500 words = 2 cents per word) and $10 per followup interview (optional - roughly 1000 words = 1 cent per word). We will pay on a quarterly basis. Once you choose a book to review, we will purchase a Kindle copy for you.
