Hello Water Cooler,
I am starting a new column over at BookWitty.com where I will be reviewing indie and self published speculative fiction novels and novellas. I understand the importance of reviews to a self published author from experience and rather than cherry picking books based on popularity I wanted to offer the community a chance to come to me so that some of the hidden gems might get a chance to see the light of day.
I am a critic with a history as a submissions editor, so the reviews will only be good if the work is good. This is your only warning. I am also afraid that I can only take stories under the speculative fiction umbrella at the moment, so if your book does not have science fiction, horror or fantasy elements then I can't help you at the moment.
As ridiculous as it is to have to say this; I do not charge to review books but it is a weekly column so you may have to wait quite some time before your book comes up. The order in which they appear will be based on esoteric criteria such as: the phase of the moon, word count to free time ratio, genre of the last book reviewed etc.
If you are interested then please email me at gdpenman@gmail.com with the following:
1) The book's title, genre and word-count
2) Your name, pen-name and any personal information you feel is relevant to my review
3) A link to wherever your book is available for sale
4) A link to your website
5) A review copy of your book, preferably in .mobi format although I can accommodate epub and pdf.
Once the review is available on BookWitty I will be happy to copy it to any other outlets such as your book's Amazon page etc. and I will of course be in touch once I have a timescale for publication.
Hoping to hear from you soon.
