I have been trying to get a story off of the ground. Having trouble with the beginning but that is in another thread. The other major problem that I have is that I have been toying with the idea of a particular race for the main character, and I want to have racism be a part of what he faces down on his travels. The only problem is that I am not racist and have a hard time even writing things that would seem racist in regards to what the character would face down. How can i manage to write the "right" way without hating what I put down? Also any ideas for an uncommon race that would have issues with racism would be helpful too. Elves, dwarves, orcs and hobbits not accepted they have been over used in the genre recently.
