Can anyone tell me what psychic distance means? I thought I knew (actually recently learned in school), but now I feel confused. And how does a writer use psychic distance to make your writing better. Is less psychic distance better? How do you know how close to pull the reader in using different approaches to the psychic distance? How do you keep the psychic distance consistent? Or do you not need to be consistent?
