Hi, everyone,
I have decided to implement a lot of physical and unusual abilities into multiple characters in my wip; can you tell me if I am overdoing it for a fantasy novel?
To put it in perspective, the entire army opposed to the Main Character are field-proven martial arts experts.
My worry is that by making the protag, the villain, the villain's armies, all the sitting kings and queens and every government official of the top tier fightling specialists, it would be overkill for some readers.
My MC is a martial artist and I need him to travel very often using a form of parkour adapted to a rural setting.
To do this well, what points should I keep in mind? And, conversely what pitfalls should I avoid?
Please, Help! How Much Action Is Appropriate In This Genre Of Fantasy?
