I'm experiencing what a number of writers here have probably gone through: the reluctance to press 'send'.
Two+ years ago, I made the mistake of querying too soon. I then had my ass handed to me by more than two dozen agents, forever burning my bridges with them. Now, after several beta readers and revisions, and with a much better query letter that went the rounds of QLH and elsewhere, I'm at the point where I should be sending this thing out again. But I just can't. Despite all the work I've put into improving it, addressing most--if not all--of my beta readers' concerns, I'm afraid it still might not be ready, and I'll have lost my chance with even more agents.
Getting more betas to allay my fears might be one solution, but what have others done in this situation?
