My name is Amari, welcome to my newbie lair.
I am currently writing a "short story" that was supposed to be "horror" (which I don't typically write), but it fast turning into something else...sci-fi/fantasy/dark/uplifting. It might be kind of gore, but probably not.
I found this page because I was searching for suggestions on music to listen to and I found this incredible post with great suggestions:
I'm a night owl, insomniac, whatever you want to say. I don't usually go to bed while the darkness fills the sky. Perhaps, it is because I am drawn to the darkness, or the silence lets me think. Then again, maybe I'm just afraid of the dark and my mind fills in the silence with endless chatter, forcing me to be awake and confront my creative demons.
Whatever the reason, that is mostly when you will find me. I am on a new path, and embracing my desire to be a writer. Therefore, I am pushing myself to write more (funny how that works). Also, to learn more (about life, and writing) and to reach out for a community. I hope to find some of that here!
