I'm in the middle of revising/rewriting a draft and I haven't read a book in awhile. The problem is, I tend to get influenced by the voice or the ideas in the novels I read, which then finds its way into the current WIP. Does anyone else get this problem? If so, how do you get over it? I heard some folks don't read in the genre they write in.
