I need some advice. I have OpenOffice on my laptop, but lately it crashes a lot. My laptop runs on Windows 8.1. OO works fine on the main family computer, which runs on Windows 7. From what I can gather from the internet, the problem might be a compatibility issue with Windows 8/8.1. I like OO, but I may have to get a different typing program. I'm hearing good things about LibreOffice, so I may switch to that.
On the other hand, I'll be updating to Windows 10 in a few months. Maybe OO will work better with 10. Or maybe not. It's a pain in the neck not to have a decent typing program for now, but maybe it'd be worth the wait.
Should I switch to LibreOffice or wait and see if OO is Windows 10 compatible? Or should I take a different course of action? If it helps, I have version 4.1.1.
