My favourite filmmakers are: Jim Henson, Hal Hartley, David Cronenberg, Tom Holland, Lars Von Trier, Harmony Korine, Larry Clark, Stephen Chiodo, Chan-wook Park, David Peoples, S. S. Wilson, Julian Schnabel, Spalding Gray, Don Hertzfeldt, Kevin Smith, Tim Burton, Caro and Jeunet, David Mamet, Takashi Miike, Brendon Small, Burnie Burns, David Firth, Chris O'Neill (Oney), John Leekely, Bruce Timm, Josh Scwhartz, Christopher Morris, Michael Almereyda, Olivier Assayas, Peter Chung, Istvan Szabo, Brian Nelson, Harry Sinclair.

I have been writing long fiction since 1995, I was thirteen and inspired by Stephen King’s It, Magic: the Gathering and Paul Bonner’s art – especially the Semai and Algeroth Nepharite Warlords in the game Warzone: Mutant Chronicles (which was resurrected in 2013 by Prodos Games as Warzone Resurrection and again by Chris Birch and Modiphius as Mutant Chronicles RPG third edition.) I wrote a 300-500 page manuscript for a fantasy novel. It contained some highly imaginative and interesting ideas but was not well written. I spent the next 18 years developing my writing.

In 2000, I studied Television, Theatre and Radio and writing for short movies and making them – shooting on video. I minored in acting and producing for children’s theatre.

In 2002 I rewrote my first fantasy novel as a 150 page short novel.

In 2003 I adapted an A++ graded short story I had written in high school about road-signs, traffic, destiny, Gods and dreams – to the Television Pilot Script format.
I found an open call for submissions for scripts for an episode of Stephen King's The Dead Zone for television in the US. I started writing my attempt but I kept breaking their rules for submissions, they were too rigid. In the end I decided to take out everything about their show and finish the script as an original tv pilot. Which I sent to my national TV station - TVNZ. They called me up saying they liked my script, thought it was quirky. In the end they decided it would cost too much to produce. This script became one of three feature film screenplays which I wrote at college.

(2011) I earned a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree in Creative Writing with a specialisation in writing for film from Whitireia Polytechnic and a level 6 diploma of art and creativity with Honours in 2D digital art and cartooning from The Learning Connexion in Lower Hutt (2013).

In 2012 my novel in development won a mentorship from the New Zealand Society of Authors.

I have now written two short novels which I am expanding next year to one full length fantasy novel. I have also written a long short story.

I’m currently writing a graphic novel with an illustrator friend, we are trying to start a studio (http://ift.tt/1JOefPC) I’m also writing 7 very short, short movies which I plan to produce early next year, and a new drama novel about 80 emotional settings reflecting life growing up in New Zealand and being born in England.

Next year I plan to write two 30 page short film scripts (one in collaboration with a writer friend) and a super simple feature film script as well as a horror feature film script about the study of horror movies.

I’m also looking for a contest/publisher for my long short story.

And I keep four new blogs – only just begun: I'm writing a movie review blog, an online Profile where I post movie articles, a comic book collecting blog and a game design and retro/indie gaming blog.

I am trying to find a publisher for my drama novel when it’s finished next July, so that I can fund a world trip – for a new non-fiction book project: 300 days @ 1 page per day in a confessional journal which I plan to self-publish, and produce four plays overseas on a tight budget, the play scripts will also be in the book. And I will record a confessional video blog every day and publish via patreon.

With our studio we plan to specialise in producing movies, software, mechatronic entertainment installations, comic books and graphic novels. I hope to invest in the studio when I start earning from my writing.

I have had poetry published and been offered a paid poetry gig based on audience response when performing my poems live.

I plan to team up with a game development studio when I am earning from my writing to work on several game concepts that I have been designing.

I'm also interested in writing song lyrics.
