So as the title of this thread might suggest, I have severe depression. As in, bad enough that when I was first evaluated a year ago, my doctor looked at me and said, "Wow. How are you even functioning?" So yeah, major depression. Generally, I am a functional adult human with a job that supports me. But things have been slipping lately. I stopped posting here on AW for weeks because I was so stressed out about query related things. I've had a string of brutal rejections this past week, and it's hit me hard. Querying is utterly soul destroying for the most emotionally stable of us, and I am not among the most emotionally stable. Anyone else here dealing with depression or other mental illness on top of querying? Any advice you might have would be wonderful. Thank you!
