I'm wondering how security would be handled in the case of a murder in a hotel. If a body was discovered in a room by security (unmistakable as a suicide or natural-causes death) what might the protocols for the safety of the rest of the guests be? Would they just try to keep it very subdued, police in and working quietly with no fanfare? A lockdown? An evacuation? (That last one seems like chaos, best avoided. But I'm trying to imagine what the management might actually do.)
Of course, I can (and may have to) go talk to some poor, unsuspecting soul who is managing a hotel (oh my, I happen to be going to a hotel tomorrow, in fact) but if there was someone here who might know or might could ask someone who would understand from the outset a writer's grim question, that'd be great.
