So I joined AW about 2.5yrs ago, when I decided I wanted to pursue writing. Obviously the first step was to join forums in order to have plenty of procrastination tools on hand.
In those 2.5 years I've started 2 or 3 stories, but never got past about the 3rd chapter mark before I lost interest in the story line. In the meantime, reading threads on here, critiquing, reading other critiques etc have taught me heaps.
So this year in July when Harlequin opened their SYTYCW contest I decided I was going to go for it. I finished just in time. Phew! There's a 2 week wait now to see who's made it to the next stage of the contest.
Obviously there's lots of editing to be done now, but I can finally say I've finished an entire first draft! :hooray:
Finally got to 'the end'!
