I'm starting up a few new projects now that the debut is out in the wild, and I wanted to try the approach of having a few things in production concurrently. One of these will be a co-authored novel, and I'm wondering if anybody has any experience with this or any important tips to keep in mind?
So far, the process is going well and we are both bringing different strengths to the planning stages. We're still kind of in limbo though with how we want to approach the actual writing. Do we divvy up different scenes, or whole chapters? Give one person dialogue and the other description? Find a clear author's voice through averaging out on turn-based revisions, or leave the final polish up to one person?
Any thoughts you might have on co-authoring would be very much appreciated!
