For those who aren't aware with the name, an ellipsis is the three dots. (...) I try not to use it a lot in my WIP because it comes across as amateur as an interrobang (?!) or multiple exclamations (!!!). I suppose my question is, how often should they be used? Should they be used ever and if not, any tips to avoid its use? I use the ellipsis as a sense of hesitation. (Example: ...I suppose I have no other choice. I will kill Batman. Whereas if I didn't use the ellipsis, it would appear the speaker would be a lot more okay with killing Batman.)
